Video: Kurdistan, a new dawn

TUE, 10 JAN 2012 15:50 | KRG.org

In the past, natural resources had been a source of misery to the Kurds. Today, under the KRG's capacity-building programme funded by the international oil companies, new schools, new homes, and electricity and water projects have been built. The Kurdistan Regional Government is using oil and gas to build a very different future for the people of Kurdistan.

Kurdistan: A New Dawn, by RWF World, was the keynote film opening the Kurdistan Iraq Oil and Gas Conference in Erbil in November, 2011. It shows how oil revenues, once used to brutally repress the Kurds, are now benefiting communities across the region.
